Many people complains about the bulb that flickers as well as serious bowing problem. Marantz will not repair even if under warranty. When you call Marantz america, you have to wait an easy 1 hour - 1h30 before you can talk to someone. They even tell you to check your setup again (waste of time), then they agree to repair and tell you 1/8″ if out of spec and 2 weeks later they post the following specifications.

49 (height of the screen) x 0.015 (maximum limit allowance) = 0.74inches (maximum “BOW” height) = 1.9cm”
There has been a rash of calls coming in over the tech support line stating that they have “BOWING” on their picture. Please check your unit using this formula to see if it is out of the ordinary. If so, please call and we will issue a service repair tag and get your unit repaired. If it is within the spec, but you are bothered, best thing to do is overshoot your screen by the bow height.
