INTRODUCTION:
For those unfamiliar with this technology, this is an LCD digital projector. Once it has been “hooked up” to an external video (or audio/video) source, it can project the image onto a surface such as a wall or projection screen. A digital projector can be used in with a number of different devices:
* a computer (laptop or desktop) - for game playing, dvd playing, PowerPoint presentations, web surfing, etc. Whatever’s on your computer screen can be projected onto a wall, screen, or other surface.

Let me start by saying I own a 61″ Panasonic HDTV. And lets just say as much I truly love that TV it is no match for the Infocus 4805. The size of the room I have my home theater set-up in, is 14×30 with controlled lighting. I’m displaying the projector on a 106″ Draper screen from 14 ft. away. Personally I think it’s easier to visualize the screen by saying it’s 8 feet wide by 4 1/2 ft. tall.

This is a long review and, for that, I apologize. There is a lot of information needed when making a decision about purchasing this type of equipment and I’d like to share it with you.
The decision to purchase a digital projector was a long and tedious one. My wife and I had decided to purchase a digital projector in order to have the ability to display our digital pictures in a portable manner. Our “slides” are either high-resolution photos (3 megapixel ) taken with our Nikon D70 or are older, traditional slides that we’ve had converted into digital high-resolution photos on disk. All of them are on a hard drive and can be easily accessed.
