Projectors have come a long way, baby! Dell 1201MP DLP Projector

I was fortunate enough to be able to borrow a friend’s projector for a slumber party at my home, and got to check out this item. All I could say is “Wow!”

I remember projectors best as the reel-to-reel used in the classroom when we were kids, or the “overhead machine” for transparencies, or even a , which, as a photo enthusiast, I’ve used often, as well. All of them had major quality issues… the larger you made the picture, the more the quality of the picture degraded. This projector blows away any of those options (of course it should, in the 20 years, since then, but still, I was impressed). In one small package, complete with an easy-to-use remote control), this projector is sleek, efficient, and the graphics quality is amazing, even when enlarged quite a bit. (Sorry, guys, I’d love to give you exact measurements, but that’s one thing I definitely can’t guess at).
